Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the TetherNode app, website or any paid plan. Please read them before you subscribe.

Last updated 17 October 2026

1. Who we are

TetherNode is owned and operated by TetherNode, a company registered in Pakistan, with its registered office at 885 R1 Block, Johar Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan (“TetherNode”, “we”, “us”). When you use TetherNode, your agreement is with us.

You can contact us at support@tethernode.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, starting a trial or buying a plan, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you keep using TetherNode after we update these terms, you agree to the updated version. If you do not agree, please stop using TetherNode.

You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to buy a plan.

3. What TetherNode does

TetherNode is Windows software that turns your PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot whose traffic leaves only through a VPN connection you already have. TetherNode is not a VPN provider. You need your own VPN service, and you are responsible for following that provider’s terms, including any limits on sharing your connection with other devices.

VPN traffic from your devices does not pass through our servers. Our servers are used only for accounts, sign-in and subscriptions.

4. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payments, invoices, tax and refunds. Your purchase is also covered by Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

  • Plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown on our Pricing page when you subscribe. Paddle adds any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account or the Paddle receipt email. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then does not renew.
  • If we change a plan’s price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

5. Free trial

New accounts can try TetherNode free for 24 hours without entering card details. You get one trial per person and per computer. We may end a trial early if we see that the trial is being misused, for example by someone creating several accounts.

6. Your account and licence to use the app

Your plan is linked to your TetherNode account, and you use the app by signing in to it. While your subscription is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on the number of computers your plan allows. Keep your login details private and do not share your account with other people. You are responsible for activity on your account.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use TetherNode to:

  • break any law, or help anyone else break a law, in your country or the country you are in
  • commit fraud, send spam, or get into networks, systems or accounts without permission
  • infringe anyone’s copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property
  • spread malware, probe or attack our systems, get around sign-in, plan or trial limits, or scrape our website or services
  • reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it

You are responsible for everyone who connects to a hotspot you run with TetherNode, and for making sure that running a hotspot and using a VPN is allowed where you are.

8. Ownership

We own TetherNode, including the app, the website, our brand and all related intellectual property. These terms give you a licence to use TetherNode. They do not transfer ownership of anything to you.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep TetherNode reliable, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. It may also not work with every VPN provider, network adapter or Windows configuration. We may improve, change or retire features. If a change makes TetherNode substantially worse for a plan you have paid for, you may cancel, and we will refund any unused period you have paid for.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, and stop the app working on your computers, if:

  • you seriously break these terms, or break them repeatedly
  • a payment fails and is not settled
  • we reasonably believe your account is involved in fraud or puts the security of TetherNode or its users at risk

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. When an account is closed, your licence to use the app ends. Sections 8, 11, 12, 13 and 14 continue to apply after it is closed.

11. Our liability

TetherNode is provided “as is”, to the fullest extent the law allows. TetherNode adds protection to your setup, but no tool can guarantee complete privacy or anonymity. Your VPN provider is responsible for your VPN service.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, caused by your misuse of TetherNode or by your breach of these terms. This includes misuse by people who connect through a hotspot you run.

13. Assignment

You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms without our written permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if our business is sold. If we do, your rights under these terms will not be reduced.

14. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please email us first at support@tethernode.com. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
